[12 Jun 2006|07:47am] yes, i need to quit, my dad might have had a heart attack, they dont know yet, his blood circulation is crappy. grandpa had a strok, and both my parents have had lung infections, so have i actually. so theres my long list of reasons to quit smoking, which i dont feel will work out so well, but ill give it a shot. any ideas how?

Its actually illegal for him to tow my car, we rent out the store and parking spots, so we partially own them. fucker. on a happier note: mmmm, onion rings.

Speak your mind new job [03 Jun 2006|09:29am] so im starting to plan shows now at the coffee lounge, which were renaming 'the rock it cafe'. dana is going to be helping me for a couple of months, but im still the one who has the say. i didnt think things would happen so fast, but ive been getting messages from local and out of town bands that want to play, this job is already showing signs of taking every hour of my time up, but i think it will be good, we have a big show coming up on the 9th. a band called phathom, there on the warped tour, but they doing a show here first, the 'pre-warped tour bash', they have a good draw in vegas, even though there from california, i was told about that kinda stuff, i guess thats why people liked marc and dana so much, they would build up out of town bands, so if there arent any local headliners, you could use an out of town band who you had built up. very good idea. mom is trying to buy a warehouse though, our venue can hold 250 - 300 kids, this warehouse can do about 1000, and it has other stuff like a private recording studio and rehersal rooms. anyway our little store is getting 'pimped out' as someone said for the time being. were getting a massave pa system, 14 channels, 4 moniters, a soundboard, it should pump out about 5000 watts, not the worlds biggest, but huge for the size of our store. and a concert light system. i dont know how they think i could run a sound and light board at the same time, but it will all work out eventually. we've even had kids voulenteering. thats the strange thing, kids have voulentered for pretty much every job we could think of, doing street promotion, dropping off flyers at schools, myspace stuff, even just taking out the garbage and moping, it seems like they just want to be a part of this, which is great 'cause we have alot of work to do, but it feels like what were doing is just kinda right, if it wasnt we couldnt possibly get so many kids who just want to help. well thats what i think at least. im glad were getting the other myspace account though, i only got the first one up to 250 kids, in a week though, but the other one has 12000 so our bullitens should get better response, anyway thats proably boring but its all the news i can think of.

Speak your mind bbq [29 May 2006|01:58pm] so were finally having a bbq, should be fun, we invited fletch and their roadies. marc and dana are coming too. its good that our family is finally interacting with people, we never know our neighbors and no one really comes over, so this is proably a good thing, plus we went all out on the bbq, pork ribs, steak, burgers, chicken, homemade potato salad, chips, dips, chains, whips... we maybe not the last too but they rhymed. anyway i got to go.

3 Fools ... Speak your mind last night [25 May 2006|09:18am] so last night was fun, sony had just mastered fletch's first cd, and they decided to listen to it here. That was kinda cool, hearing the cd with the band for the first time. Its a great cd. I stayed at their house and we just sat around the hot tub, i guess were having a bbq at my house and there coming, so that will be fun, yeah, not much else happening. We do need a new name for the store, it will no longer be a 'christian' coffee lounge, but an all ages venue/coffe house, so any ideas? we have 'rock city' but i think its a little corney.

[24 May 2006|02:02pm] so there just happens to be this show on the 3rd and 4th of july. you know just a few bands... like social distortion and flogging molly and fletch. and i just happen to know fletch, so i get to go for free.yeah! I met this guy, brian who runs gillians, which is an arcade, and does national shows, like hoobastank and rooney and weird music thats very popular. anyway he also owns smash magazine and works at park and rec. so he gets stages and does big stuff. He is doing red white and boom, which is the concert on the 3rd and 4th. I want to be doing that, but he will hook us up for a while, so thats good, we will have a full page ad in smash magazine, and thats pretty cool. so thats the most recent of news.

Speak your mind things are going well [21 May 2006|09:05pm] so, my mom bought a christain coffee lounge about two months ago, a couple of weeks ago we were asked to have a show there about 150 kids showed up, the band was 'red light school district' some local las vegas band i think. that went well. then we were contacted by two really cool people who owned a local venue called 'the alley' it eneded up being closed and the people who ran it had a kid in a kick-ass rock band called 'fletch' and were going on tour with them. so they give us a crowd. we built a nicer stage that took two full days of working, i was staying up 'till 6am, but we got it finished in time for our first big shows. Friday and saturday were phenomial (sp?). 8 bands, 2 days, 600+ kids. We were swamped trying to serve all those kids, we sold hundreds of bottls of water and kids were even ordering tuna on crossant sandwhiches during the shows, which were really good shows. ( Read more... ) this is our poster. to top it all off, were going to be having shows every weekend, and I will be booking them, the bands are really cool, and are really nice, maybe thats just because im gonna be saying who plays, at the best fucking venue in las vegas. so yeah, i have found something appealing in las vegas.

[13 May 2006|12:00am] so i took my cadillac out for a spin, jimmy was in his camaro and i was reving my far supior engine, spinning my tires and such, stef decides to take one of the other cars out, thankfully it wasnt the jag, (it was a jetta), downhill from there, all she was supposed to do was to park the car, she ran into me, as she hit me, my cell phone fell out, she ran over that too. so things are going, im just not sure where there going. i get to visit aunt mel and uncle tony and aunt aundrea in san diego tomorow, that will be fun, me and stef are making an iron collage purse for mom, its mothers day soon. i havent told anyone yet, but my mom has a new store, actually two. there christian coffee lounges, there starting to pick up, we have bands that play almost every night, some supposedly mediocre band played and they drew a crowd of about 175 people called red light school district. its good hours and mom is going to make me manager soon. so thats about it, id leave my cell number, but i dont have a cell just now, ...at least that works.

Speak your mind things are going [24 Apr 2006|09:55am] my car should be here soon, its alredy bought, not the nicest looking of cars, a 2001 ford taurus, stef is getting a mustang convertable, and mom is getting a 2003 jaguar type x. you might be able to see the injustice in there, but my car will be paid off soon, and i will have time to save money for oly, and college. We have to pick up our tickets, 3 to see ka at the mgm grand on thursday, my birthday present from mom. so thats about all that has been happening lately. yeah. 14 hours left till my fucking birthday though, i cant wait to not be 17 anymore, i'll buy a pack of good cigarettes. yeah thats about all.

[13 Apr 2006|02:12pm] I do hate arizona, i got to do nothing for 2 days, unfortunatly for me there really isnt anything to do here. if i dont have to do anything id rather be in vegas, in my fuckin jacuzzi doin nothin. anyway ive got to watch the kids until saturday, luckily aunt mel and tyler and kate are coming here tomorow. they just got back from new york, they seemed to like it. i will get paid something for watchin the kids, but it wont be the 250 i would have made in vegas, nothing i could have done about that. i managed to get sick, swollen throat and headache, cant tell if i had a fever or im just experiancing the boiling fuckin heat. well, after arizona, im goin to vegas for a few weeks, save up some money for a place, proably at coopers glen, edwards isnt getin a place with me, marley said something about gettin a job, hes got some time, maybe gabe is still interested, but then he dosnet do this lj thing does he? what does gabe do?

Speak your mind yeah [01 Apr 2006|12:57am] [ music | here comes the sun - the beatles ] I'm feeling happy, maybe its the weed or the beatles, but i suddenly feel very happy. I dont know where im gonna be living as of tomorow, but im sure i can find somewhere, or so it seems. I think I have things I should do tomorow, or at least figure out. Or maybe I'm thinking about this too much, on the other hand can you think about something too much? Its proabably not a good idea to be thinking about something so long you miss the opertunity to act, and then all the thinking is totally useless. Its good to think though, just not as good as acting, action on this perticular subject could be quite fun. Electirc 6 have a perticularly good reason for acting on that particular subject, be my dark angel, good song.
